As part of his Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Black Sherif, a Ghanaian Musician, made a heartfelt donation of assorted items and fully settled the medical bills of mothers facing financial challenges at the Nkrumah and Yebuah wards of the 37 Military hospital on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
The items included assorted soft drinks, Flora Baby Diapers and wipes, Packs of Bottled water, Boxes of soap, Nebulizers, Office furniture and sanitary pads.Â
Presenting the items to the hospital, the spokesperson for the Foundation Mr Kingsley Boateng mentioned that the gesture reflects the guiding vision of the Mohammed Ismail Sharrif Foundation, a charitable organization established by the Ghanaian superstar which aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal 3.1 which seeks to reduce the global maternal mortality ratio and ensure that women have access to safe and quality maternal healthcare.
He said that supporting new born mothers during most critical moments is one of the foundation’s aims to contribute meaningfully to improving maternal health outcomes, promoting safe childbirth, and reinforcing the importance of equitable access to healthcare.
Black Sherif noted that they had made some donations to other health facilities already and donating to the 37 Military Hospital will not be the first and last but would continue to support the hospital as the years go by.
The Acting Commanding Officer of the hospital Lt Col Alex Abiti received the items on behalf of command and said that the donation would go a long way to contribute to the needs of the healthcare of mothers and children. Also, it would contribute to zero maternal mortality and would enhance a lasting relationship between the foundation and the hospital.
Lt Col Abiti thanked them for the gesture and asked for God’s blessings for Black Sherif and his team as well as the growth of the foundation.
Present during the presentation were the Chief nursing officers of the formation, the various Officers in charge, Nursing officers in charge and staff of the children and maternity wards.
