Capabilities
The Pharmacy Division is capable of providing comprehensive pharmaceutical service to clients who patronize the 37 Military Hospital and its allied hospitals. It also serves as a continuous training institution for Pharmacists, Pharmacy technicians, auxiliary staff and the corresponding students involved in the pharmaceutical services provision as part of the healthcare team.
Services Provided
The Pharmacy Division at 37 Military Hospital is the department responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and effective use of medications within the hospital. It serves both inpatients (those admitted) and outpatients (those attending clinics or emergency services), including Military personnel, Defence Civilian Staff, their dependents and the public.

Mode of Operations
The pharmacy at 37 Military Hospital operates 24 hours a day to serve patients around the clock, including emergency and inpatient needs. This means you can request and collect medications at any time, day or night. 37 Military Hospital Pharmacy Division accepts private health insurance for medication at the 37 Chemist.
The hospital pharmacy serves:
- Inpatients — patients admitted to wards who need regular or ongoing medications.Â
- Outpatients — walk-in patients or those referred from the outpatient department after consultation.Â
- Emergency Cases — medicine for emergencies, available at all hours.
Training Capabilities
The Pharmacy Division of the hospital is committed to capacity building, professional development, and continuous improvement in pharmaceutical care delivery. The division provides structured training for students, interns, and healthcare professionals, with emphasis on patient safety, rational medicine use, and regulatory compliance.

The hospital operates under the Ministry of Defence and serves as the main referral military hospital for the Ghana Armed Forces. It provides comprehensive healthcare services to military personnel, their families and civilians.
