The Commanding Officer (CO) of the 37 Military Hospital Col Alex Abiti in partnership with the Francis Onai Charity Organization (FOCO) donated football kits to the Dynamic Soccer Academy on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at the 37 Military Hospital hockey pitch.
The football kits included three sets of football jerseys, hose, training cones and other training kits.
Presenting the items to the team, Col Abiti said the donation is aimed at giving young barracks boys the opportunities and exposure in football and also to nurture and harness their talent and potential. He added that it was also to rejuvenate football activities among children within the barracks, to engage them after they have closed from school and on vacations to prevent their involvement in social vices.
The CO who is a football enthusiast said he would continue to engage other partners for many such supports for other military barracks and youth teams and encouraged the young ones to take football serious and continue to play to exhibit their talents.Â
The items were received by the coach of the academy Mr Raphael Asante and however thanked the CO and his partners for the kind gesture. He mentioned that the academy was formed about four years ago and currently has about forty young boys from the ages of three and above as members from the Barracks and its environs such as Nima, Osu, La and Accra Newtown.
The Officer in charge of social welfare and some personnel of the formation were present during the donation.
